At T3 Labs, we are always eager to meet the collective medtech minds at every conference we attend. What projects are ongoing, where are they in the development lifecycle and what do they mean clinically? Who is driving new milestones? Where is the value? What resources are needed? We focus on events where breakthrough medical devices and products are being revealed in therapeutic areas including cardiothoracic, gastro and GI, orthopaedics and beyond.
Here are the top medtech opportunities we are most looking forward to at the Society of Thoracic Surgeons 52nd Annual Meeting January 23-27 in Phoenix.
- Tech-Con. Retooled for 2016, Mark S. Allen, MD, President of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons says Tech-Con will sharpen its focus on “new devices and procedures that have yet to be approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, but could be available (with FDA approval) within 1-3 years from the time of presentation.”
It is for precisely the companies developing these new devices and procedures, like CardioMEMS and ALung, that T3 excels as a preclinical CRO. We can’t wait to meet the medtech innovators in thoracic surgery at STS’s Tech-Con on Saturday and Sunday.
- Research Sessions. Because the members of the T3 team are scientists as well, we always take knowledge gained from research presentations at every conference we attend, into our sponsored preclinical projects thereby improving preclinical protocols and study outcomes.
