Join GCMI’s Dr. Emily Blum, Evan Goldberg, PhD and John Tipton for an ORS Innovation Network Webinar August 31, 2022

“For over 60 years, the Orthopedic Research Society (ORS) has been the leading research society supporting engineers, orthopaedic surgeons, biologists, veterinarians, and clinicians in pursuit of a world without musculoskeletal limitations.”

GCMI and our preclinical arm also known as T3 Labs has been an industry leader in preclinical testing and bioskills training for novel orthopedic devices and technologies. We have also been active participants and partners with ORS, its events and members, particularly GCMI’s Director of Scientific Affairs Evan Goldberg, who serves on the ORS Innovation Network Leadership Committee.

At the heart of medtech innovation, inclusive of orthopaedic devices and technologies, are the unmet clinical needs of patients and those who care for them.

The medtech innovation pathway is fraught with pitfalls including costly pathway excursions, premature investment in costly preclinical studies, especially GLP studies. From unmet clinical needs to a patient’s bedside or the operating room, adherence to the right process, the right activities at the right time can accelerate a new technology’s pathway to clinical utility and commercialization whereas an uninformed or haphazard process can spell a potentially high-value device or technology’s doom.

On Wednesday, August 31st, at 11:00 a.m. central time, we invite you to join Evan and five of his colleagues including GCMI Medical Director Dr. Emily Blum and Medical Device Engineering Manager John Tipton for an innovation process webinar entitled “Medtech Innovation: From Unmet Clinical Needs to Clinical Solutions” presented by the ORS Innovation Network and International Section of Fracture Repair.
