We are conveniently located in midtown Atlanta, just 15 minutes from the world’s busiest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Our facilities are AAALAC accredited, USDA licensed, and GLP compliant. We operate 32,000 sq ft of operating room, lab, office and vivarium space.
  • Operating Rooms

    Our operating rooms are dedicated to research in 12 therapeutic areas. We have a total of four(4) operating rooms, including one fixed cathlab. Our operating rooms are flexible and can be set up for a surgical, endoscopic, orthopedic, or interventional case for both animate and human cadaveric models. Each operating room is equipped with a room camera and surgical light camera that is available for recording or viewing in the convenience of a conference room. Along with our surgical and imaging equipment, our operating rooms are a one-stop shop for all your preclinical needs.

  • Conference Rooms

    We have three conference rooms. Each of our conference rooms is equipped with projection equipment for your team to discuss your training or testing. Our large conference room can be set up in board room style (accommodating up to 16), classroom style (accommodating up to 30) or theater style (accommodating up to 45). Our medium conference room can be set up in boardroom (accommodating 12), classroom style (accommodating up to 16), or theater style (accommodating 20). Our small conference is set in boardroom style and can accommodate up to 8. We have a full-service vending area located in the same hall as our conference rooms that is always accessible. Our Customer Experience Team is available to assist with your food and beverage needs.

  • Housing

    Our onsite vivarium is equipped to house both small and large animals. We can house hundreds of rodents and ~100 large animals onsite. Our facilities can accommodate both long term and short term studies as well as individual and group housing. Our flexible caging equipment allows us to accommodate studies with special requests such as 24 hour stockinated pens for ventricular assist devices or plexiglass caging for wound healing studies.
    Offsite, ~1 hr east of our facility, we have access to a large housing facility which also has open grazing and barn areas. This housing facility is AAALAC accredited, follows all our SOPs and is staffed with veterinary technicians and routine visits from our veterinarians. This facility allows us to house our longer-term animals for several months or years as needed.


Orthopedic Devices

For in vivo visibility into anatomy, device placement, or bone healing, we have the microCT, digital X-ray and fluoroscopy tools you need. Ex vivo microCT imaging, available at our facility, provides very high resolution images of bone healing or growth into a device, or apposition with a device (metal or polymer).

Example: For one of our sponsors in orthopedic medical devices, specimens were already embedded for histology. However, the university lab had capacity for just one scan per day. The sponsor needed a better solution. We scanned 30 samples in fewer than four days delivering all and more of the analysis the sponsor needed.

Structural Heart Devices

For a heart valve implant, developers need not only good fluoroscopy, but echocardiography during the in vivo implantation process. Post-harvest, microCT provides a detailed look at calcification in the value leaflets.

Example: For one major manufacturer of heart valves (among many other medical and commercial products), we have provided hundreds of microCT images not available through their histopathology partner. We turned those images and analysis within days, providing valuable feedback on valve calcification and material characteristics.

For device compatibility and perfect images involving infarction and the healing of the cardiac muscle over time, MRI is the solution. We provide quick access to 3T and 1.5T MRI.

Gastrointestinal Devices

For gastrointestinal (GI) and general surgery procedures, device developers need high definition laparoscopic imaging equipment in-vivo. We have and know how to use this equipment. Post-harvest, the same tools provide the visibility needed to find ulcers, calcification and other adhesions.

Interventional Cardiology

Innovators in interventional cardiology benefit from perhaps the largest array of imaging modalities guiding catheters into vessels, looking for emboli or aneurysms to name a few. We have everything interventional cardiologists and their device makers need:

Only MRI and fluoroscopy produces the images of the target site needed for your neurovascular devices. We can provide a 1.5T mobile MRI onsite and very near site access to 3T MRI.
